Community Involvement
Our Commitment to Community
Royal Life Centers at Cascade Heights is far more than just a substance abuse treatment center. We aim to create lasting change in the lives of not only our guests but the people in our local community. Royal Life Centers has several programs in order to be a positive presence in the communities we serve. Working together to give back helps to strengthen our core values and reinforces our mission. During their stay, guests have several opportunities to become a part of one of our community involvement projects. Our main objective is to be a beacon of light and hope for the recovery community.
Elliot Bags
We regularly go into our community and hand out care packages, called Elliot Bags, to the homeless population. The bags came about from the mother of a former guest who passed away as the result of substance abuse. The small backpacks are loaded with essentials such as food, water, hygiene products, a blanket, and a poncho. We label each bag with the name of a former guest who has passed, in their honor.
Each bag contains the following items:
- Water & Snacks (tuna, peanut butter crackers, granola bars, and cookies)
- Toiletries (shampoo, razor, shaving cream, comb, deodorant, tooth brush, tooth paste, and feminine products)
- Socks
- Poncho
- Blanket
The Elliot Bags are a perfect compliment to our homeless sponsorship program, in which we offer treatment scholarships to homeless individuals unable to afford treatment.

Homeless Community Sponsorships
On a monthly basis, we open our doors to two homeless individuals who need substance use disorder treatment. Once an individual has completed our program, we reserve their spot for the next person in need. Substance abuse in the homeless community is, unfortunately, extremely widespread. Making matters worse, access to treatment is also very limited and sometimes even non-existent. Breaking free from the cycle of substance use disorder is a challenge for anyone. Coupled with the dangers of homelessness, addiction can be an overwhelming burden on life. Royal Life Centers believes that everyone, regardless of their social status or lot in life, should have a chance at finding a new way of life.
Street Adoptions
Royal Life Centers also adopts local roads to show pride and commitment to the communities in which we reside. We sponsor regular clean-up events in which we encourage our guests and staff to participate. We strive to better our community.
Community Service
Giving back to others, as well as the community, is a pivotal part of any program of recovery. We believe that community service is a great way to perform selfless acts of kindness. Serving the community gives guests an opportunity to connect with each other as well as local community members. Between our regular local trash pick-ups and other volunteer efforts, guests have ample opportunity to be a part of our movement of hope. Royal Life Centers believes in practicing spiritual principles such as service, brotherly love, and humility. We think our community involvement projects are a great way to exercise these principles and values.
We hold ourselves responsible for doing our part to better the communities in which we operate. For questions regarding any of our programs, please contact us today at (877)-RECOVERY or (888) 557-7990. Because We Care.
