Drug Treatment
Drug Treatment Plans at Royal Life Centers
Royal Life Centers offers a full range of services from medical drug detox to aftercare. We treat addiction and dependence on alcohol, opiates, benzodiazepines, methamphetamine, crack, and cocaine. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) nearly 20 million people have been diagnosed with a substance use disorder. Rates for alcoholism are almost just as high at 15 million adults diagnosed as of 2015 (National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism). Substance use disorder is a very serious condition, fortunately, it is also a very treatable one.
At Royal Life Centers we always put the guest first. Our locations feature:
Medication-assisted detox— We monitor guests 24/7 in all of our medical detox facilities. We follow medical protocol to ensure that the withdrawal process is as safe and painless as possible. Preventing complications and relieving discomfort in a safe, monitored environment is our main objective during detox.
Holistic therapy— Our clinical staff at Royal Life Centers treats substance use disorder in a multitude of ways, using several different approaches. Our intensive therapy addresses the mind, body, and spirit for a comprehensive wellness plan. We make sure to work on issues that go far beyond the surface—digging into underlying factors that contribute to substance abuse. Guests break free from their addiction while eliminating self-destructive behaviors and finding a new life of freedom
Customized treatment plans— Royal Life Centers gets to know each and every guest on a personal level. When you join us at any of our facilities you are instantly a part of the Royal Life Family. Our nurses learn guests’ in-depth medical history, therapists perform thorough assessments on every guest and residential staff regularly have heart to heart conversations with guests. Each member of our team truly has the guests’ best intentions at heart, trying to help them overcome substance use disorder, Because We Care.
Case management— Guests begin working with their assigned case manager early on in treatment to help resolve any outstanding issues that need addressing. Case managers are also largely responsible for aftercare plans.
Continuing care— At Royal Life Centers we find that individuals who stay with us for our continuing care programs have the highest chances for long-term sobriety. Programs include residential inpatient, PHP, IOP, OP, and sober living. Further, getting sober requires major life changes which can be difficult to maintain without the support and accountability offered by Royal Life Centers. Royal Life Centers at Cascade Heights in Mead, Washington offers our 9-week, long-term treatment option, and sober living.
If you are still unsure if you have a drug problem consider the following questions. Do/have you:
- Hide the drug use or the effect it is having on you from others.
- Lost interest in things you once liked to do.
- Need more and more of a substance to get the same effects (called “tolerance”)
- Can’t stop yourself from using the drug, even if you want to
- Spend a lot of your time thinking about the drug: how to get more, when you’ll take it, how good you feel, or how bad you feel afterward.
- Borrow or steal money to pay for drugs.
- Look in other people’s medicine cabinets for drugs to take.
- Plan activities around your drug use
- Have trouble at work
What is drug treatment like at Royal Life Centers?
Detox– Either a four-day or eight-day medical detox from drugs or alcohol. Length of stay determined on a case by case basis depending on an individual assessment.
Residential Inpatient– Our fourteen-day program designed to jumpstart guest recovery. Guests attend mandatory group and individual therapy daily.
PHP– The partial hospitalization program is the first step in our nine-week aftercare program. Guests continue to receive therapy in seminar style groups while continuing to see their primary therapist and case manager. Groups held six days a week, six hours per day. Most PHP guests live in our sober living facilities for the duration of their stay.
IOP– This phase of treatment is broken down into two stages, phase 1 and phase 2. Guests in phase 1— the transitional phase,- attend the same groups and have access to all the same resources as PHP, but will only attend group five days per week for 3 hours a day. Phase 2 continues phase 1 but session frequency becomes three days per week for 3 hours per day.
OP– OP is for those who have busy schedules and still want to be a part of the Royal Life Family. Outpatient is a less structured, more flexible treatment option. OP guests will attend group therapy once per week, and individual therapy at least once per month.
Royal Life Housing– Once a guest graduates from our nine-week program and obtains a job, they are then invited to move into our Royal Life “graduate” Housing. Guests enjoy much more freedom at our grad housing including having visitors, a later curfew and being granted overnight passes.
